Two Men Meet at Dead Sea seeking a cure for Psoriasis!

Posted by Matthew Katz on Mar 28, 2012 3:11:00 AM

Sean Gallagher from Ireland and Matthew Katz from New Haven, CT landed in Tel Aviv early this past August on a sweltering 110 degree day. Both were bound to the Lot Hotel spa and clinic on the Dead Sea.Neither man knew the other nor what was about to happen in the next 21 days. Each experienced nearly 100% remission.
Each man had left home with an extreme case of psoriasis which they had lived with for more than 2 decades and within 21-days they were clear of most lesions!

As remarkable as this may sound, it’s common place at the Dead Sea clinic where Dr. Harari and his team has been working to help cure patients for over 15 years. It is a popularly accepted cure in Israel and in some European countries where healthcare pays for nearly 100% of this full-month stay at the hotel and spa/clinic. Both Mr. Katz and Mr. Gallagher had to pay full price since there is no coverage for this treatment in the U.S. and Ireland.

Returning to their homelands,  theyhave remained close friends and each are encouraging everyone they meet who has either psoriasis,  arthritis and other autoimmune conditions to make the journey to the Dead Sea clinic.

Mr. Katz is even returning with a group this summer. For information about his treatment plan before and after for more information about this program, click here.

Dead sea salts

If you are suffering from psoriasis then you know how this can complicate your life. However, this need not be lifelong affliction. In fact, if you take a look at this video of my own recovery, you will see the results. Meanwhile, I came across this remarkable video on YouTube about a group of young people whose parents paid for their treatment overseas. They, too, saw their psoriasis clear up in record time.

The mission of this blog is to invite Jewish and Christian philanthropists to lend their support to assist as many people as we can to experience the same benefits rather than suffer. It is known that many cannot afford this treatment because it is not covered by health care plans in the United States, Canada, England, and Ireland. To register for a tour to Israel for treatment this summer click here.

Oprah Winfrey, please help us fight diabetes 2, arthritis and psoriais!

May 16, 2011

Dear Oprah Winfrey,

OpraLogo, png resized 600I have admired you for decades since “Color Purple” and your early obvious star talent. I know you to be a compassionate and giving philanthropist. Please read our blog  and website about diabetes 2, arthritis and psoriasis which affect the quality of lives of over 500 million children and adults in the world.

I’m appealing to every influential celebrity and politician in the United States to help us end these conditions NOW, not in 5 or 10 years. Diet, as you know is critical to our health. Dr. Oz has talked about this on your show and our medical doctor, Joel Fuhrman, M.D. has been on Dr. Oz's show several time talking about his "Eat to Live" life changing diet. See what he has done for psoriasis skin diseased patients by clicking above!

Clearly it is now proven that a strict “vegan” program for a period of  months, perhaps longer in severe cases, can reverse many of the conditions surrounding chronic psoriasis, arthritis and diabetes.

Obesity can of course lead to high blood pressure and cause heart disease and stroke in patients with diabetes.  Little known, however, is that psoriasis patients are three times more likely to get any of these conditions later in life.

You can help us spread the word! Please contact me about our program. We are planning on taking hundreds of patients to Israel’s Dead Sea for a 21- day spa where they can both detoxify and learn Joel Fuhrman, M. D.'s program to enable them to develop new habits to remain healthy and extend their lives.

Our non-profit needs $30 million to create a lifetime endowment to continually send patients there every month as well as educate them. We will need to create pressure so that McDonalds and other fast food companies also contribute money and healthy “nutritious” foods to school programs to re-educate children. is a nonprofit dedicated to both the reversal of these horrible conditions in adults and children plus the future prevention of the rise of chronic illnesses in our country.

Won’t you be the first to give and help us spread the word?

Please study our story…it’s a compelling one of healing naturally in a world full of drugs and too much research that never gets to the cause of illness. Go to our website at and be sure to read Eat to Live!

I believe in you Oprah! Help us end these diseases in our lifetime. GIVE GENEROUSLY!

Psoriasis Social Media Connection for Patients to Share Experiences

Posted by Matthew Katz on Nov 14, 2011 5:00:00 AM

My name is Michael Dornan and I suffer with Psoriasis and have for almost 20 years. Part of the Social Medicine platform is a site for psoriasis sufferers, Psoriasis Social

psorsoc3describe the image

Our social networking sites, Psoriasis Social and Social Medicine, breaks down the many walls put in front of us when trying to solve, or at least help each other with the many medical problems. Visiting doctors and professionals is required, but sometimes talking to others suffering with the same illness as you can be invaluable. Psoriasis, like many other illnesses is hard to manage and as different things work for different people, reading what has worked for others, would prompt me to try something new or go and ask my doctor for specific information or medication.

I've found the Internet to be a great resource, reading articles and forums where like-minded people are posting information has helped me manage my situation.

High Demand In Consumer Content

The increasing demands of consumer driven health content have inspired more people to health related social sites. Real people suffering from disease and illnesses write the content seen on Social Medicine. Social Medicine also provides psychological and social support for people suffering with illnesses. This suggests that health outcomes may improve given all the socialising and psychological support provided by others within the health network.

Countering Loneliness

Social networking sites may create a false sense of connection that may increase feelings of loneliness. However, medical social networking sites such as Social Medicine foster the community support experience. To counter the negative feelings of disconnection and loneliness, real people who are in similar situations as others within their community group, focus on improving self-esteem, communication, relationships, and peer support.

Health Communities in Social Networks

Online health communities can offer great benefits to disease and illness sufferers. Online health communities offer great advantage of instant information exchange that is not always obtained in real life discussion. Disease and illness sufferers can also engage in many activities from their own personal space of their homes. People within online communities also have access to many discussion groups, specifically chosen by the individual, where they can access relevant information within their health community. Online health communities can give disease and illness sufferers a feeling of belonging and closure, giving and receiving community support.

Can Sun, Sea with Special Diet Help Acute Psoriais?

                  describe the image

The best treatments for psoriasis occur naturally from the inside out.  These natural treatments do not harm your body, as compared to traditional psoriasis medications.  The traditional medications usually prescribed to treat psoriasis symptoms are known to cause a buildup of toxins in the body, ultimately causing more harmful long term effects to your body.  These natural remedies will help to sustain long term psoriasis relief.

                            describe the image

“Skin is our largest organ and a mirror of how well we eat.”  Ultimately the largest factor in reversing your psoriasis symptoms stem from the foods you consume on a daily basis.  Psoriasis is connected to how healthy our immune system is, which has direct effects from how well we eat.  The immune system creates white blood cells; which fight infection.  Long term relief of psoriasis and other autoimmune skin disorders will occur from a cleanse of the body and a strengthening of the body’s immune system.

To improve psoriasis symptoms as well as gain overall health it has been recommended to cut out foods high in omega-3 fatty acids, and increase intake of foods high in essential fatty acids.  Essential fatty acids have been known to drastically improve Psoriasis, Eczema, and other skin disorders.  Some Lipids rich in essential fatty acids include:  Acai Berry, Flax Seed, and Cranberry Seed.  Another way to improve the immune system is to eat foods such as fresh produce, quality proteins, and healthy fats; while avoiding spicy foods, junk food, foods high in trans fat, alcohol and red meat.

Adding oils to your daily regimen will also aid in the treatment of psoriasis.  Some natural oils known to help Psoriasis symptoms include: Primrose Oil, Flax Seed Oil, Borage Oils, and Zinc.  Flax Seed Oil contains a high amount of omega-3 essential fatty acids, and can reduce the inflammation of cells as well as promote immune health. Primrose Oil is rich in gamma-linolenic acid, which is a “good” fat linked to numerous health benefits.  Most people with skin disorders have very low levels of GLA in their systems, so the addition of Primrose Oil into the diet is essential for natural psoriasis treatment.  Borage Oil is also rich in GLA (gamma linolenic acid), which will reduce skin inflammation and skin dryness.

The addition of Zinc to your diet will also help naturally treat your psoriasis symptoms since Zinc is known for healing, and a necessary ingredient for skin growth.  Zinc is also linked to strengthening the immune system.

Another way to reduce your symptoms of Psoriasis is to avoid stress.  Although everyone faces stress in their day to day lives, and stress seems inevitable, it is known to enhance psoriasis symptoms.  The best ways to reduce stress are: getting enough sleep, exercising, and relaxing.  To reduce stress practice relaxation techniques such as meditation, yoga, and breathing exercises.

Dead Sea: recommends a visit to the Dead Sea to treat psoriasis. Since, the Dead Sea has been known for centuries as a great place for treating psoriasis and other skin conditions.  The Dead Sea benefits for treating psoriasis are abundant.  From its water to its powerful sun, the Dead Sea seems like the perfect place for rejuvenation and relaxation within a stress free environment.  The Dead Sea Water is richer than any other water, on average containing 345g of mineral salt per liter; great for the treatment of psoriasis! The elements at The Dead Sea result in an amazing rate for patients being able to completely clear their psoriasis.

HealthRightUSA's SustainingWellness program includes a 5-year doctor-recommended protocol and treament with a 21-day Dead Sea Spa treatment at the outset. You can also begin the diet at home before you travel to Israel. Simply contact Joel Fuhrman, M.D.'s office here and pay $2,600 for 5-years of nutritional counceling.

To accellerate your clearing view these Testimonial YouTubes. Register here for the entire Dead Sea spa including the diet program.

Meditation for Psoriasis and Arthritis - great natural treatment

Posted by Matthew Katz on Jun 13, 2011 1:13:00 AM

Here are some great meditation and relaxation techniques to help relieve Psoriatic Arthritis pain. At the Dead Sea in Israel, HealthRightUSA, Inc will employ Yoga and meditation as alternative treatments.

by Cristina DeOliveira

Meditating is thinking deeply and focusing your mind for a period of time. It’s done in silence for spiritual or religious purposes or it is used as a technique to enjoy full body relaxation. It is said that meditating eases muscle tension and fatigue. In doing this, people often release any negative energy or stress that they may be enduring.

If you are suffering from Psoriatic Arthritis, meditation may be a perfect, natural treatment to make you feel more comfortable and at ease! People with Psoriatic Arthritis can benefit from meditation not only because it relaxes one’s body, but also because it can allow the body to build a stronger tolerance for pain.

Think you don’t have time to meditate? Taking 10 minutes out of your day to sit in silence and unwind is beneficial for anyone, especially people suffering from conditions, such as Psoriatic Arthritis.

With eyes closed, in a quiet, comfortable place, you must focus on taking breaths through the nostrils. Simple breathing techniques can be used to slow down heart rates and allow your breaths to be steady and controlled; the first steps to complete relaxation. You have to shut out everything that is surrounding you. It is actually common for people to take some time getting used to meditating. Many people may not be used to focusing solely on inhaling and exhaling, but it is necessary to do so in order to completely relax and feel the positive effects of meditation. When your mind is not distracted and is focused on breathing, it gives you a sense of inner peace and contentment. Doesn’t that even sound refreshing for your body?

Often times, people who suffer from Psoriatic Arthritis may feel unhappy or discouraged because of their condition and the pain that it brings. Meditation helps people cope with these feelings and the difficulties of daily life. The stress that our minds create can also aggravate or even cause some of the pain that one feels. Meditating on a regular basis will make difficulties in life a bit easier to deal with for patients suffering from such autoimmune diseases.

Another easy tip to relieve pain is to apply hot and cold compresses to the affected or painful areas on the body.

  • Heat increases blood flow and should be applied before physical activities.
  • Ice can be used to numb the areas to suppress the pain after the activity.

Anyone suffering from pain in his or her joints should consider giving these treatments a try!
